LATE FEES-You Motor-Boaters are doing great at being on time!  Thank you and the next customer Thanks you!

INSURANCE UPDATE-Yes Laugh but they are requiring we tell everyone.

Jet Ski people are required to wear shorts.  Long shorts, Boy shorts, Short shorts, etc.  Any bottom that covers more than a bikini-Male and Female.  If one falls off the ski and the jet stream does damage to your...private area...Insurance may not cover damages unless you have on shorts.

-All boats have bimini tops

-Bring your music and speaker, just in case the radio has quit

-Have to be 26 years old or over to rent and operate. Bring ID-25 is less than the 26 years of age needed

-Only listed Operators can take possession of the boat with photo ID and we need photo ID or renter and card used

-Know the RULES-there are consequences called Financial Penalties

-No animals on Deck Boats-If you go against this, you lose $250 of your damage deposit or could lose your rental. Non negotiable. Again, Not knowing the rules is no excuse to get out of financial penalties.

-Falls Lake we offer everything. If you want a half day, you have to come to Falls Lake.-Delivery fees to lakes other than Falls Lake-Our delivery fee has increased to $300 and rental time for any lake other than Falls is 8am-4pm. Call the office if this isn't clear.

-Look at the equipment you select-That is the amount of people-Please do not spend time trying to hustle us. Seating is for your safety, not an option for customization.

-Cancellation fees-3 and more calendar before rental=25% fee, The day before and 2nd day before rental=30% fee, From 5pm the day before until the rental time=100% fee. Changes to your date on the day before or the 2nd or 3rd day before is $100. Again, same day reschedule is not available. It is 100% loss of funds, not the security deposit, that is released...You just can't cost a company an entire days rental and still expect your money back-it was held for you and other's lost out. The company shouldn't lose out too. See our Social Media post for Lessons about Credit Card fees.

-Weather Policy is a variable. If you cancel due to weather, the cancellation policy is in effect. If you are on the water and get cut short, that's a different thing. If you use less than up to 75% of your time and need to return due to weather then the remaining 25% will be applied to another rental-no refunds. If you use more than 75% of your rental time, there are no refunds. Please remember this-WE ARE IN NC-THE WEATHER CHANGES DAILY. What you see for day 7 on day 1, is not going to be the same when you look on day 5. Also-Mother Nature is old and has Old Timer's Mentality!

-Rescheduling fees-Day off rescheduling is not acceptable and no refund. Day 1-Day 3 is $100. Day 4-Day 7 is $75. Day 8 and more no fee. We can rent the boat if we have that week's notice. We shouldn't lose money because you changed your mind. And the closer to your rental date that you do change your mind, the less time we have to rent out the boat or ski.

  • WHAT IF I AM LATE FOR THE PICK UP TIME?
    • Calling the day of, within 90 minutes of your rental, will reflect a $50 late fee.
    • If you do not call and show up 15 minutes later than your rental time, reflects a $50 fee-Signatures are Date/Time stamped.
    • Return times are not adjusted. Your return time is still the original return time. You cut in to your rental period being late.
  • WHAT ABOUT RETURNING THE BOAT LATE?
    • If I am returning the Boat to the rental dock time; I agree to pay a Late Return Fee at a rate of 25% of rental fee per the first 30 minutes and after that, $50.00 for increments less than and up to 15 minutes.   If I am returning a jet ski late it is 125% of the rental.
    • No refunds or prorated refunds on early returns/unused time.
  • WHAT ABOUT ALL THESE LATE FEES?
    • If there's no consequences, there's chaos. You've seen the site and how many boats we have. We have to have some type of organization and schedule. The fees are the consequences to causing chaos. Let's just not do that, please.
  • HOW TO RESERVE A PONTOON BOAT OR JET SKI OR FISHING BOAT?
    • Click on the ONLINE CALENDAR buttON. Select a Date, Select time length, Select time slot and it shows the available equipment.
    • If you are reserving for same day, please call and/or text so we don't miss it at such a short notice on the schedule
  • IS PULLING A TUBE, SKIING OR WAKEBOARDING ALLOWED?
    • YES on majority of the boats. Not on jet skis or the Sportster
    • And you have to have rental insurance.
  • CAN I RENT A TUBE AND ROPE FROM YOU? Not just the rope.
    • YES
    • And you have to have rental insurance
  • ARE PETS ALLOWED ON THE BOATS?
    • Yes.  We love our pets and will love on yours, for a fee.  If you take an animal, there will be a $30 pet cleaning/disinfectant and $10 for each additional pet.
    • Please keep pets off the seats
    • Not allowed on Red Hurricane Sundeck, Blueberry SVx, Strawberry MDX, Wave Rider, Wave Digger, Wave Slayer or Sportster=you will be turned away and no refund. Know your boat!
  • IS THERE A DELIVERY FEE TO FALLS LAKE?
    • No and we only deliver for free to Ledge Rock boat ramp. If you want it somewhere else, you are welcome to tow it. Got to know this, when you book it, please and Thank you.
  • WHAT IS THE DELIVERY FEE TO OTHER LOCATIONS?
    • Rental Time slot for other lakes is 8am-4pm
    • $300 for other lakes. Keep in mind any other lake is 45 minutes to an hour away.  You are welcome to tow the craft yourself and save the delivery fee. When towing yourself, rental insurance is required.
    • If the equipment is towed by the renter, rental insurance is automatically added.
    • 2" ball is required-No we do not have several laying around to loan out
  • WHERE IS THE BOAT DELIVERED TO for free but we don't meet you there. Keep reading.
    • Ledge Rock Boat Ramp, 2601 Olive Grove Church Rd, Creedmoor, NC
  • WILL YOU DELIVER TO OTHER RAMPS AT FALLS LAKE?
    • Sorry we cannot. Where we work out of, is practically at Ledge Rock Boat ramp.
  • WHERE DO WE MEET YOU AT?
    • For the time being, meet us at the Boat yard at 9962 Boyce Rd, Creedmoor. We do not shuttle, even tho we cannot find a law to stop that, the NCWildlife has politely asked us not to. We have a large lot that cars are welcome to park in. Consolidate vehicles or get a game plan together there. Either way, odds are-you'll be parking on the shoulder of Olive Grove Church Rd. 1 or more cars-That's probably your landing spot. We suggest 1 because we have 40+ rentals on the weekends and if everyone took 1, let's do the math. Then allot of people are thinking they'll just take 2 because-What's 1 more. Double that first figure. Your call. Call the office, if you want our help. We are Pros at this!!
  • DO WE PICK UP AT THE ADDRESS ON THE WEBSITE?
    • No.  2141 Sandy Plains Rd is our home and a private road. If you do, please refer to your many emails for the correct address.
  • HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE BOOK UP COMPLETELY?
    • Some weekends all boats are reserved a week or longer in advance.  There have been holidays that we have a boat not rented until the night before or that morning.  The answer to this question is-as soon as you know a date, that is when you should book it. Need to call or text.
  • WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO RESERVE?
    • NOW, RIGHT NOW. As soon as you are positive of a date, reserve/book it.
  • ARE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?
    • Yes.  There is no office to walk in and grab a boat or ski.  If we have a boat, you can rent it same day with 3 hr notice and within operating hours.  No guarantees of availability, on any given day.  You can call/text for same day rentals.  First check the website for Availability, if you aren't sure or have questions, please call/text.  We are not already in the water.  And if you just drive to our house, we may not be there to assist you. Also need a 3 hr window and within operating hours.
  • WHAT TIMES ARE THE BOATS AVAILABLE?
    • We are flexible with times if you need it customized, but the schedule is online and we have to stick to that. Last boat is out at 12pm.  Returns are no later than 8 hrs after initial selected departure time, without prior approval.  These times are preplanned prior to the day of rental.  Renters can't just leave the boat at the dock or the skis beached.  They are the renter's responsibility until you see and speak to a representative of Motor-Boatin LLC. Late arrivals DO NOT mean late returns. Fees apply-be aware.
  • CAN YOU LEAVE THE BOAT UNATTENDED?
    • NO the answer to this question with any additional reasoning is still NO.  To go to the store, NO.  The obvious reason is it could be stolen or vandalized and it is your responsibility during the entire rental period.  It is the renter's responsibility until they see and sign the return check list with a representative of Motor-Boatin LLC.
  • WHAT TIMES ARE THE WAVERUNNERS AVAILABLE?
    • They are rentable for 1 hr or 2 hrs. You can strangle, I mean thank previous renters that do not know how to safely beach a ski or stay out of grass and then swear up and down they did nothing wrong and dispute damage charges, which I have won every one because it is the right thing.
  • DO YOU HAVE HALF DAY PONTOON RENTAL RATES?
    • YES.  Prices depend on the boat and availability. Check the Online Calendar. We only cater to half days when used at Falls Lake.
  • IS GAS INCLUDED?
    • Boat prices do not include fuel. You start with a full tank of gas and it is refueled when finished. Fuel consumption will vary depending on YOUR usage.  Motor-Boatin will fill it up for you and charge the card on file for your convenience.  We use non-ethanol gas.  This will allow you to enjoy your full rental time on the water.
    • DO NOT bring gas cans, thinking you will fill up on your own.  Odds are, the gas is not Non-Ethanol and is not what we put in the equipment.  And creates a repair bill for you.
    • Gas is not charged for ski rentals unless you book back to back time slots. Then yes-you will be charged for gas.
  • WHERE CAN THE BOAT BE FILLED UP ON THE LAKE?
    • You have the option to go to the only thing on the lake.  The Rollingview Marina. Great little grill and drinks, snacks are available there.  If you decide to fill up there, please allow yourself plenty of time to get there, fill up and another 15-30 minutes to get to the dock at the preset time.  While at the Marina, please use bumpers and have someone stand with the equipment to keep it off the metal parts of the docks.  Damage caused by no bumpers and bouncing off the dock is still damage and costly.
  • WHAT IS ON THE LAKE?
    • The only business is Rollingview Marina.  There are several swimming areas and boat ramps.  Please remember every public swimming area (only 2 on the lake) will have a bathroom, but not all boat ramps have them. There are 2 Danger areas that you are not allowed in. KNOW THEM
  • WHEN DO YOU GET YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK?  The release/charges will be made within 7 business days of rental-normally within 2 days but we allow us 7 due to damages and needing to get estimates.
    • Once the craft is returned, inspected and it is full of gas- the hold is released.  After that, it depends on how long your credit card company takes to release the hold.
    • If there are damages, you will be notified by email with an invoice showing line items and the reason for holding the damage deposit within 7 business days.  The gas is in addition to the security deposit if there is any damages. The $500 is only a partial deductible held for damages. However, if there is damage that costs more than $500 we capture the security deposit and charge the difference, up to $1200. The renter is responsible up to the $1200 mark. EVERY insurance claim has a deductible. Motor-Boatin's is no different. Hint-if you can't let me hold $500, perhaps you shouldn't get our boat. AND if you do let us hold it, but you need it back-obviously Do Not Do Damage!
  • CAN YOU RENT DURING THE WEEK?
    • Yes absolutely.  We recommend reservations and most days can do same day rental online.
  • PLEASE NOTE (these should be a given, but we've seen each one and many more that we just couldn't list)
    • DO NOT ALL GATHER AND AT THE BACK OF THE BOAT AND TAKE A SELFIE OR GATHER AT THE BACK OF THE BOAT AT ONE TIME FOR ANY REASON.  In fact it is not safe to gather at either end or side at one time.  Many years ago, a boat flipped with people piled on the front and some drowned.  On the back, Pontoons have motors that are built to suck up and use water for cooling, not for running under it.
    • DO NOT LEAVE THE DOCK LINES ON THE DOCK-They belong to Motor-Boatin LLC and are not community lines to be left attached to the dock.
    • DO PULL THE BUMPERS UP FROM THE SIDE OF THE BOAT AS LEAVING THE DOCK AND PUT OUT AS YOU APPROACH
    • DO NOT SIT ON THE FRONT OF THE BOAT IN THE FISHING SEATS OR ON THE DECK WHILE THE BOAT IS IN MOTION-THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW
  • RENTAL INSURANCE AND DAMAGE DEPOSIT
    • There will be a $500-$1000 security deposit hold or authorization on your card the day or 2 before the rental.  If that hold is declined, another card is required.  That is a no brainer to me.  Who doesn't charge a damage deposit??
    • $53.50 per day per equipment for Rental Insurance
    • Renters are UNINSURED while renting our equipment without the Rental Insurance.  Yes we have business insurance, but you need insurance.  I have an accounting and IT background-do not claim to understand insurance fully.  However, they tell me Renters are UNINSURED so we offer/require Rental Insurance at $53.50 per day per equipment.
    • There is a REAL $1200 deductible. That deductible would be charged upon return of the equipment that is damaged.  If the repairs are less, a refund will be issued once we get an estimate.
    • The default answer is YES to rental insurance.
    • If you are doing watersports, you need it.  If it is our Tube you are towing, it is required.
    • If you are towing our equipment it is required.
  • GIFT CARDS AND CREDITS (EXCLUDING FREEBIE BOGOS)
    • The actual dollars paid is good for 1 year. In Month 13 there is a 50% inactivity fee. At the end of month 14 there is another 50% inactivity fee. Normally you only have 1 year to use your dollars you paid. But we can't hold it on the books forever. You paid for something and we want you to have it, sooner rather than later.
    • This is any credit that was paid for and not used. The is not applicable to the credit we give to match the January BOGO deals. That credit expires at the end of the calendar year the BOGO was purchased.

The funny and head scratching questions to me are-I'm sure I will be adding more...

  • WHERE ARE THE BRAKES? or HOW DO I STOP THIS THING?-------------------THERE ARE NONE AND USE REVERSE TO SLOW DOWN.
    • As much as I think those are hilarious, newbies to the operations of watercrafts have asked these.  The answer is There are no brakes.
  • HOW DO I STOP JET SKIS?----------------LET GO OF THE THROTTLE AND USE REVERSE IF NEEDED
    • You can't.  Even the skis that have neutral, still do not have brakes.  Forward or Reverse and if you are just cruising in to beach somewhere, use the reverse to HELP maneuver.  You can use Reverse to slow down as you are slowly approaching something like the shoreline.  There is no stopping.  Stop the motor wwwaaayy before the shore if you forgot everything we told you and accidently panic and run ashore.  Damage will occur to the ski but stopping the engine will save the motor!
  • WHY ISN'T THE BOAT MOVING?------------------IS THE MOTOR DOWN IN THE WATER??
    • I did have a customer call and I could hear the motor running, it was a new boat and the motors are quiet in the water.  I asked if the motor was in the water and (giggled) it was trimmed all the way up.  So I seriously say in a joking manner, "The motor works best in the water."  The trim button is on the gear shifter and your thumb easily squeezes it to the up position.
  • THE BOAT WILL NOT CRANK-------------------CHECK THE KILL SWITCH AND IS IT IN NEUTRAL
    • This could be valid.  Hopefully not with our newer boats.   99.5% is-be sure the shifter is in neutral and be sure the kill switch is attached.  Unless your entire party has gathered at the back of the boat and submerged the motor, then in that case-It ain't gonna crank!  Stop trying, it is doing more damage! Call me.
  • WAVERUNNER OPERATORS AND RIDERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR SHORTS
    • I realize this sounds absurd.  However, I have to tell you.  I have to put it on the website.  If one falls from the ski and the jet stream does damage in the area where the Sun don't shine, and you had a bikini bottom-male or female, the Insurance can refuse to cover damages.
    • There is a case where someone fell off a ski and the stream did internal damage.  The manufacturers are covering their bases and pushing Insurance Companies to do the same.  If you look at the compartment in front of the driver, it is very clear about this.
    • I had to read about this before I posted something that was stupid.  I'm glad I did.  The woman I read about was told not to hold on to the operator.  That was #1 in the wrong.  You absolutely DO hold on to the person in front of you.  She was told to hold on to the handles, which is behind the rider.  Do not do that.  I cannot understand how her injuries happened, but I can tell you, but they did.  She was seriously injured.  Several claims of this type of injuries on the internet.  We wish every one the best.  YES Hold on to the person in front.  Do not be at the back of a ski when the possibility of someone starting it is real.
    • Do not float around the jet ski when someone is sitting on it, they may accidently start it.
    • Do not leave the kill switch attached unless you are riding.
    • Do not hang off the back while the motor is running.

WHERE IS THE LAKE AT 2141 SANDY PLAINS RD, WAKE FOREST?-------------------THRU THE WOODS BUT NO BOAT ACCESS

This is our Home.  A private road.  No turnarounds or passthroughs.  This is the address of our business because otherwise you couldn't find us on Google or "near you".  If you visit, you can't see the water, there isn't a dock or ramp and you will probably meet our animals but they can't help with reservations.  Check the website for availability and Call, Text or email for questions.  If you see the neighbors, don't worry, they don't bite.  Just know we will get a call before you get turned around.  Love them!  Much better than our security cameras.  OH and give us a wave to say Hello.  SMILE! YOU ARE ON not so CANDID CAMERA!
